How the years slip slide away!

What I had envisioned being a short sabbatical from this blog and my Etsy store has turned into five years. Much has changed in my life since then. I no longer live in a school bus, having graduated to a small apartment all on my own. I am now in the process of re-opening my store because my little place is over flowing with my art and collectibles. It is time to let some go so I can create and collect new.

I have a little two room apartment right next door to the thrift store I have been working at for ten years. I can walk to the grocery, post office and bank so I sold my car and occasionally take the bus when I need to go into a bigger town. My life is lovely and simple and peaceful, and I remain ever so thankful to be living it!

I have added some pictures of my newest creations that will soon be available on etsy. I have returned to a childhood love of all things miniature and enjoy creating lovely little spaces in alternative dwellings. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

It proves very hard to get good photos of these small worlds but I think you can get the idea. More photos and descriptions will be available in my store when I launch it.

I still have a love for collage and will have some pieces I have done for sale as well. My goal is to finance a trip to the Holy Land before I am to old to go. Hopefully items sell quickly because I suspect I am quickly approaching that age! I have added a couple of examples of collage below. My walls are covered with collaged canvases and other misc. treasures. As time goes on I suspect I will begin to list some of them, but for now am content to enjoy them.

I will attempt to stay more current with this blog. Five years is too long a break! I hope you enjoy the pictures. My shop (oblations@etsy.com) will hopefully be back on line by the end of the week.
